The Marian  Foundation

Get to
Know Kim

I’m Kim Layton, and my life’s purpose is to serve others with compassion and faith. As a young single mother at 17, I faced incredible challenges, but through God’s grace, I found the strength to overcome. Those experiences shaped my heart for helping others, especially women and children who are walking through similar struggles.

The Marian Foundation is my way of giving back, a space where healing and hope can thrive. I know what it’s like to feel lost, and I also know the power of faith, resilience, and community. Every step of my journey has led me here, and I’m honored to be a part of transforming lives one day at a time.

The Marian House Foundation: A Place of Healing and Hope

I’m Kim Layton, and I’d love to share the heart and soul behind the Marian House Foundation. This ministry is more than just a nonprofit—it’s a sacred space where children and families can find refuge, healing, and a path to reclaiming their lives. It’s a calling that comes from my own journey of faith, resilience, and a deep desire to serve.

Our Mission

The Marian House Foundation exists to support children who have been impacted by trauma, addiction, and abuse. We serve children ages 5 to 16, providing them with the tools, therapies, and love they need to heal and thrive. From art therapy and sound healing to counseling and gardening, every program is designed to nurture their emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that every child deserves a chance to feel safe, valued, and whole. Too many children in our community have been overlooked or lost in systems that fail to meet their needs. At the Marian House, we strive to be the bridge that helps them cross from despair to hope.

Our Vision

I envision the Marian House as a thriving sanctuary where healing is not just possible but inevitable. My dream is to create a space that feels like home—a place where children can express themselves through creative outlets like painting, clay, and music. A place where they can find peace tending to a garden, learning to plant seeds and watch them grow.

In time, I see this ministry expanding into a larger facility, with a greenhouse for year-round gardening, a thrift store to provide revenue for resources, and a multimedia room where children can learn and dream big. Our ultimate goal is to give these children the stability, care, and tools they need to break free from cycles of pain and build lives full of promise.

Our Passion

This work is deeply personal for me. I know what it’s like to feel lost, scared, and unsure of how to move forward. My experiences as a single mother, as someone who has overcome addiction, and as someone who found redemption through faith have fueled my passion to help others. I am here to tell these children and their families: You are not alone. There is hope, and there is healing.

I believe in the power of creativity to transform pain into something beautiful. That’s why art therapy, sound healing, and gardening are at the heart of what we do. These hands-on therapies help children process their trauma in safe and indirect ways, giving them the freedom to express themselves without fear or judgment.

The Path Forward

The Marian House Foundation is just beginning, but our vision is big, and our determination is even bigger. With God’s grace and the support of our community, I know we can grow this ministry into something extraordinary. We are actively working to secure funding through grants, sponsorships, and donations, and every dollar goes toward building a brighter future for the children we serve.

At its core, the Marian House Foundation is about love. It’s about creating a space where children can heal from the inside out and where families can rebuild what was lost. It’s about showing them that their pain doesn’t define them—that they are capable of incredible things.

To everyone who supports this ministry, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Together, we can create a ripple effect of healing and hope that will change lives for generations to come.

With love and gratitude,

Kim Layton

Mother Mary’s Children: The Heart of the Marian House Foundation

The Marian House Foundation is not just a ministry—it’s a reflection of Mother Mary’s love and care for her children. Every child who walks through our doors is seen, valued, and nurtured as if they are her own. I believe deeply in Mary’s role as the mother of all creation, a symbol of grace, compassion, and unconditional love. It’s through her intercession and guidance that this ministry was born, and it is in her honor that we continue to serve.

Mother Mary teaches us to care for the most vulnerable, to hold them close when they feel forgotten, and to guide them toward hope and healing. Her presence is the foundation of everything we do at the Marian House. When a child comes to us broken by trauma, addiction, or abuse, we embrace them with the same tenderness that Mary herself would show.

This ministry is a sanctuary where these children—Mother Mary’s children—can find safety and love. It’s where they can experience healing through art, music, gardening, and the gentle care of those who see them for who they truly are: precious, cherished souls.

I trust Mother Mary to lead this mission, to bring the resources, people, and opportunities we need to continue this work. She reminds me daily that this is her ministry, her way of bringing light to the darkest places. At the Marian House, we are simply her hands, carrying out her sacred work for the children she holds so close to her heart.

When I look at the children we serve, I see their strength and their potential. I see their ability to rise above their circumstances and shine as Mother Mary’s beloved. It’s an honor and a blessing to be a part of their journey, knowing that her grace surrounds us all.

This ministry is for her and through her, and I am deeply humbled to be a part of it. Together, with Mother Mary’s love and guidance, we are creating a place where her children can grow, heal, and rediscover the beauty of who they are meant to be.
